Running a busy salon, barbershop or clinic leaves you very little free time. You spend the day on your feet, looking after clients and your team. Filming vertical videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels often falls to the bottom of the list.
When you do find a free moment, it is hard to know what to film. You do not need scripts or dance routines to show your work online. The best material comes from the services you already provide every day.
Here are practical video ideas for hair salons, barbers and beauty clinics, the kind of things we can film when we visit a business in Thessaloniki.
Ideas for hair salons
Hair is visual, which makes it great for short videos. As we explain on our page for hair salons and beauty businesses, people want to see your hands at work and the feel of your space.
- Before and after: the hair before you start and the result in good light. You can film from behind the chair if the client prefers not to show their face.
- A technique close-up: the small details of a colour or a blow-dry. Close shots of mixing colour, placing foils or brushing are calm and good to watch.
- A quick tip from the stylist: a team member answers a common question to camera, for example how to use a hair mask or protect colour at home.
- The salon space: the clean stations, the wash area and the products on your shelves before the doors open. It helps new clients feel at ease before their first visit.
Ideas for barbers
Barbershops have their own rhythm and sound. Short videos can show the care and precision in each cut.
- A clean fade or beard trim from start to finish: a few seconds of each step, from the first clipper pass to the final styling product, edited together into one short routine.
- The tools: how you lay out, clean and prepare your clippers, scissors, razors and brushes between appointments.
- The chair and the atmosphere: the small details of your shop, the lighting and the way your team welcomes a client to the chair.
Ideas for beauty and aesthetics clinics
For clinics, showing trust and cleanliness matters a lot. Clients often have questions before they book.
- The treatment room: the fresh bed, clean towels and calm lighting, so people see where they will spend their time.
- The equipment: the machines and tools you use, with clean surfaces and careful preparation.
- The steps of a treatment: the process without the client’s face, with the camera on the practitioner’s hands and the products.
- The team explains: a member of staff says in plain words what a treatment is, how long it takes and what happens during the appointment.
Privacy and consent
A salon or clinic is a personal space. Always ask the client before filming, and never show a face without permission.
Many clients want to relax without a camera pointed at them, and we always respect that. If they do not want to be seen, we film hands, hair, tools, products and the space, or your team talking to camera.
We take the same quiet approach in every care space we visit. At Alice in Dogland, a dog grooming spa, we film everyday life with the dogs while the team works. When we work with you, Anna agrees the shoot day and time in advance, so filming does not disturb your service or your clients. Antonis comes to your business, then directs, films and edits the videos himself, usually from one organised shoot a month.
Turning videos into bookings
Good videos show your work, but they need a clear path behind them to bring in appointments.
First, Costas runs local Meta ads to show your videos to people near the salon. Next, when someone taps through, they need an easy way to book: Dimitris and Costas build websites from €390 with online booking, so clients can pick a time without calling. Finally, a complete Google Business Profile with real photos of your space and team helps local people find you on the map.
Frequently asked questions
How often do you need to visit to film?
Usually one organised shoot a month gathers all the material for the month’s videos. Anna agrees a quiet day and time with you beforehand. Antonis comes in, films the space, the team and the work you have planned, and then does all the editing himself.
What if none of our clients want to be on camera?
That is never a problem. We never show a client’s face without permission. If your clients prefer privacy, Antonis films close shots of your hands at work, the back of the hair, your tools, the products and the space. We can also film your team explaining techniques and answering common questions.
How much do your monthly packages cost?
We have four monthly packages, all excluding 24% VAT. Launch is €290 for four videos plus Meta Ads. Grow is €510 for eight videos plus Meta Ads. Scale is €700 for twelve videos plus Meta and Google Ads. Thrive is €850 for twelve videos, Meta and Google Ads, and SEO Basic.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
No, we work month to month with no contracts. You get one clear report every month, and Anna sends you every video for approval before anything is posted. If you also need a website with online booking, Dimitris and Costas build websites from €390.
