Real video vs stock footage for local businesses

31 October 2026

When someone looks up a local business on Instagram or TikTok, they are usually deciding where to go in person. They want to see the room they will walk into, the food they will order or the people who will look after them.

Stock footage cannot show that. It shows someone else’s shop, someone else’s hands and a space in another city or country. Generic templates and stock clips could belong to any business anywhere.

Real video for social media solves this simply. When you film at your own premises, what the customer sees on their phone is what they find when they walk through your door.

Why stock footage falls short for a local place

Stock libraries are full of neat clips: a coffee pouring in slow motion, a smiling receptionist, a spotless gym floor. The problem is that none of them belong to you.

A local customer is making a practical choice. They want to know whether your gym feels friendly, how your dishes really look when they leave the kitchen, or how you handle their dog. If they see a polished stock clip and then walk into a very different place, the trust is gone.

Real footage removes that gap. It sets an honest expectation before the customer even steps inside:

What real filming looks like in practice

You do not need a script to make useful videos. Showing everyday work is enough. Here is how our social media video work looks for different local businesses:

How we film without getting in the way

Some owners stick with stock footage because they worry filming will disrupt their day. As a team of four based in Kordelio, Thessaloniki, we keep it light.

Usually one organised shoot a month gathers the material for all the month’s videos. Anna agrees the day and time with you first, so filming does not disturb your service or customers.

Antonis, our founder and creative director, comes to your business himself. He directs, films and edits the TikTok and Reels videos. If your customers do not want to be on camera, we respect that completely and film hands at work, the products, the preparation, the room, the equipment and your team.

When graphics still make sense

Real video does not mean you can never post a graphic. Simple text layouts still have a clear job when you need to share practical facts quickly:

In our social media management, real vertical video carries the main feed, and simple notices are used only when they are the clearest tool for the job.

Frequently asked questions

What if my team feels shy in front of the camera?

That is very normal. Antonis directs calmly and never asks anyone to perform or learn lines. Often nobody needs to speak to camera at all. We film you and your team doing your normal work, with the focus on hands, preparation, tools and the finished result.

How often do you film?

We group the filming into one organised visit a month, so we do not take up your week. Before we arrive, Anna arranges a time slot with you when the place is quieter or that suits your kitchen or floor. We work around your normal routine.

How much do your monthly video packages cost?

We have four monthly packages, all excluding 24% VAT. Launch is €290 for 4 videos plus Meta Ads. Grow is €510 for 8 videos plus Meta Ads. Scale is €700 for 12 videos plus Meta and Google Ads. Thrive is €850 for 12 videos, Meta and Google Ads, and SEO Basic.

Do we have to sign a long contract?

No. We work month to month with no contracts. Anna sends you the videos for approval before anything goes live, and you get one clear report every month, so you always know what was done. You stay only as long as the work is useful to you.
